Regular meditation is the foundation of mental-body wellness and an approach to life based on consciousness. Regular meditation, however, does not mean passively sitting. Both our senses participate actively in the experience of walking in an attentive way. The air flowing within and outside of the bodies and the sight, sounds, aromas and even tastes we feel while walking. We are aware of the earth under our feet. Again, we may despise our bodies rather than embrace ourselves and enjoy them in love and intimacy. Walking attentively binds your mind to the body and allows you to appreciate the body as it moves through space. This exercise encourages a deeper understanding of how you walk. Your stance, your gait and your balance all tell a remarkable tale, because you show them visually when you walk. Such knowledge will provide an insight into how you can travel more quickly and comfortably. It allows you to communicate with the moment The mind becomes quieter as you walk and become more conscious. Often this stillness gets intense. Your life goes beyond walking, breathing and moving into the infinite realm of pure life.
Such transcendent moments feel like time is still as the walker, the walk and the world merge. There is no past or future in this everlasting present, just the constant now lasts forever.
